Owls & Axes is a personal blog. Any views or opinions are personal and belong to me, and do not represent those of people, institutions, or organisations I may or may not be associated with professionally, or personally- unless stated. Any views or opinions shared here are not done with the intent to malign any religion, ethnic group, organisation, company, or individual.

Your access and use of this site, its services and any of its content is done so entirely at your own risk. Understanding and agreeing that the blog, its content, services, products etc are provided on an “as is” and “as available basis.”

Owls & Axes also reserves the right to edit, move, or remove any content for any reason. Whilst the information on this site has been personally verified to the best of my abilities, I cannot not guarantee, nor will be held liable for the mistakes or omissions, and any resulting consequences such as loss, damage, injury, liability from using the information contained within this website.

None of the articles and posts on this blog may be re-printed without express permission, written from the author. However you are free to use any content that accounts to 10% of the overall article, providing attribution is given and links are left intact.

The FTC requires bloggers to disclose whenever there is any financial interest, or bias motivating their recommendations or opinions, which should be a done thing anyway if you ask me. You’ll find it at the top of my posts whenever the article contains affiliate links.

But what is an affiliate link? When you click on the link contained within the article, it uses a tracking code to follow will you through to the product or service. If you buy it, the tracking code remembers what lead you there, and I will earn a small commission (usually around the price of a cheap cup of coffee) for taking you there. The price of the product or service, however, does not change for you.

Most of the links you’ll find however are for informational purposes, but sometimes I may even earn a small commission from them, so it’s easier to just assume all links are affiliate links.

When I post a link to a product, it is something that I either personally use, support- essentially, would recommend without the affiliate part. Occasionally, I will also write paid posts, or review free products, and these too will be declared at the top of the article. However, my first priority will always be giving you resources to help you with your self-care and sustainable lifestyle, and I will only ever link to products or services, affiliate or otherwise, that fit with this purpose.

Nor will I ever mislead you in my true opinion of something. If a product or service is poop, I’m gonna tell you, it’s poop.

Whilst I’d love the luxury of working on a basis that allows me to individually vet potential advertising partners whose values, principles, and products align with my own- and whilst I exercise this with affiliate links, the advertisements that will appear do not have this control. Be wary. I may have not recommended or endorsed the products and services contained within them in any way.

Until the day arrives where companies are asking to advertise here and I can exercise such control, I do, and will, keep ads to a minimum to ensure your user experience is the best it can be. I understand why bloggers do it, but having so many ads everywhere makes my head spin…
